Leadership can be difficult. It can cause the leader to second guess themselves and question if they’re doing the right thing. Today we have two stories. The first one is a good example of both me and my fire chief not doing that “one good thing”. The second story is an example of the good that can come from doing the “one good thing”. I hope you find some use from this story and please share it with your friends and co-workers.
Episode 75, One Thing Good Leaders Do, BobbieOnFire.com, October 14, 2021
I've been a wildland and municipal firefighter for over 40 years. I've held positions from firefighter up through the ranks to Chief and above. Over the years I've gathered many surprising and funny stories. Most have a good leadership lesson for all of us. I hope you enjoy them.

Excellent story, I really enjoyed it and brought back lots of memories.
What a prick. Sounds like the subordinate that tried to do the same thing to me when I was out on disability. I knew to file a claim with the Fair Employment and Housing Authority and shut her down. But takes years of experience to know where to reach for help when you need it and not to listen to people that try to discourage you.
