I used to tell my firefighters that if it weren’t for people’s mistakes, we wouldn’t have jobs. There’s a lot of truth to that statement. People make mistakes and end up having to call 911. Thanks to my friend Ann, today we get to hear a couple stories of mistakes that could have had tragic outcomes. Instead luck intervened. Rather than tragedy we are offered a great learning opportunity. Listen to our laughter as Ann shares her close calls with home safety issues.   1. It’s not smart to fall asleep with any type heating device, even with a safety device. Don’t start a fire at the beach without a ring, unless you want a lot of burnt feet.
    But whose cat falls in the pool three times? We have had pool for over forty years, and I have never seen a cat fall in the pool. That is hysterical.
